Back from LA in one piece. This weekend was a bridezilla weekend. No, not really. What is a bridezilla anyway? Being over particular on one's taste because your wedding day is probably the biggest day of your life? If that's the case, then thats perfectly okay. One of my best friend's wedding is coming this June as well as my brother's wedding in Seattle. We went to LA this past weekend to look at dresses and get ideas overall, I think it was a success. I really love weddings, I love everything about them, the general tradition of them, the decor, friends, family, I think it's a wonderful thing. It's been 1 year and 5 months since I've been married and I love it. Below is a photo of my bouquet & I, don't you sometimes wish their freshness would last forever?

We stopped by Babycakes on our way back home...now if you live in LA and haven't snacked here, what are you really waiting for? The place is amazing. Offering all-natural, organic and delicious alternatives free from the common allergens: wheat, gluten, dairy, casein and eggs. The girls that work there remind me of an old-time bakery taking place in the 60's...all dolled up in their cupcake wear. We were impressed (and overwhelmed) by the variety of choices there were and at the end, we didn't even know what we had ordered! We wanted to try everything. Thanks to my friend Hilary, I think if I ever go vegan, Babycakes will sure determine it.

Delicious much, ya?

unused shipping countainers=sustainable + emergency housing solution.

there are currently over 30 billion shipping containers not being used around the country, see how this can be changed by SEED, a project by a group of Clemson University (South Carolina) architecture professors to provide temporary shelter for victims of natural disasters such as the recent, Haiti Earthquake.

this is brilliant. Designed by Patrick Morris of BOSKKE, a duo ceramist creative team recognizing the home in need of greenery, but without the mess and clutter of it on the floor. Read their story here.

I'm in love with open spaces and basic furniture pieces. Windows should be open at all times of the year, how else are we able to stay in contact with world outside if curtains or blinds are shut? Though, the burst of light coming in reminds me of Spring coming. I'm ready for it to arrive already.
