yo!

hello, monday.

it's been a week.

This is my new handbag.  Has a gold zipper.  It's classic.  Not classy.  Classic.

And suits me well considering my pops is an electrician.

.

ben came home the other day and said, "babe, I got you a new clutch"  I was

surprised that he knew what a clutch even meant- he knows I'm not super heavy into

purses, or "handbags" so when I heard that, I was completely shocked.

He hands me this new Klein Bag and I immediately FELL IN LOVE.

He knows me so well.

Speaking of bags, I'm liking these sculptural lunch bags.

Gold Leather Brogues?

...

New favorite Christmas movie?

Well, it's not exactly new, but check it-

Table Light.  Iacoli & McAllister.

Seattle-based, Iacoli & McAllister are probably the first designers that I really felt have executed a

sharp design of these sophisticated, eventful chandelier-like lights, but now all of the sudden this type of

geometric lighting is hitting every design blog and not to mention, most of them are poorly designed.

If I see any more of these, I'm going to go crazy.  And not in a good way.

I need a bit more excitement.  It's like you eat too much of your favorite food and you can't eat anymore

of it, or you'll get sick to your stomach.   same ordinary feeling.

but this table light character.  he gets me going.  I want to draw a little face on it and watch

it wobble walk around my living space.  and name it thub, or gabe.

and diamonds?  what's up with diamonds?  why is Rihanna singing about diamonds?

this can get bad, I should go now.

it's been 1 month, I'm sorry

Speaking of shoes- Totokaelo (snapshot of store above) just opened up there new storefront in Capitol Hill.  They were located in Belltown before, but the new layout is pretty sharp- extremely spacious, I walked in there and thought I had just entered a spaceship.  I first noticed their shoe display, there seems to be this trend going on... Another semi-new shop located in the same neighborhood, Kaledoscopic Vision has a very similar-almost identical shoe display-although, I have to say they have been open a bit longer and let me tell you, those girls know how to party!  They were servin up the tequila on cinco de mayo- and collecting a random, song-request...it was fantastic + the shop is pretty awesome, lots of treasures in there.  Capitol Hill was in need of a place like this- affordable vintage-finds instead of walking into Value Village restraining yourself from the horrible b.o. smell.  This type of shoe-shop display, contemporary, clinical, fictive world-inspired retail interior has been around for a while.  Remember, contemporary art photographer, Andreas Gursky's, Prada I in 1996?  Check it, below.
